Really Nice Gardens: Broomwood

Broomwood

The creative owner of this city courtyard garden wanted a space that felt welcoming, verdant and gave her the attractive vista she was craving whilst working from home. It’s a small space but needed to perform as a kitchen extension as well as a garden. The fireplace is the focal point, outside and from inside […]

Really Nice Gardens: Wimbledon

Wimbledon

This large Wimbledon garden was in need of a contemporary make over to incorporate a modern garden room and to bring it in line with the interiors of the house. The garden and pilates studio, which the garden room was to become, are a haven for this busy family and needed to reflect their personalities, […]

Really Nice Gardens: Merton Park

Merton Park

The addition of a granny flat at the end of the garden meant a complete overhaul of this family’s outside space. We worked along side Andrew Dobson Architects to create a minimal, sleek garden that would give each property it’s own space whilst providing a safe environment for the children to play in and, a much […]

Nightingale

We created this family garden alongside the renovation of the house, which included full length glass doors across the rear of the property. With the garden in full view and growing children to satisfy, the space becomes a much used extra room, serving as a playground, chill out zone, dining room and entertaining space. The […]

Really Nice Gardens: Belsize

Belsize

Our lovely client was stuck with how to handle her large two tiered garden on a budget. With a mature tree in the centre of the lawn it had become a muddy patch, borders had disappeared and the lower terrace was an unused, disconnected space. She longed for a garden where her kids could play […]

Really Nice Gardens: Chelsea Courtyard

Chelsea Courtyard

We worked with architects Mackenzie and Temple to complete this compact courtyard garden in central Chelsea.  Previously a dark, dank outside space it was important to maximise the light coming into what would become a little oasis for this large family home. Pale Limestone paving, mirrors and a subdued palette of colours are used to […]

Elms

After a house renovation and extensive basement dig this much used and much loved garden needed reconstructing. The clients were keen for it to harmonise with their Victorian property and it’s tasteful modern additions, without looking brand new itself. This revised version of the space was to include a swing, large lawn and the one […]

The Common

This busy family of six were fed up with their unloved garden which had become more of a place for their dog to hang out than them. With wall to wall glass at the back of the house it was important that the space not only tied in with the stylish interior but that the garden became a genuine feature of the home whether you were in it or looking at it from inside.

Tonsley

This tiny space had a lot to live up to. Being part of a fantastically styled renovation of a period property which included a huge crittall garden doors from an open plan kitchen, this garden had to have year round appeal. With husband and wife having quite different briefs we had to find a way to combine all the elements into a micro garden without over complicating the space and staying true to the overall style of their home.

Woodfield

We were tasked with bringing a touch of the South of France to this large front garden space. Their love of big palms and grasses lead the design and we worked closely together to draw up a plan that combined both impressive architectural specimens and softer planting.
