Is anyone really interested in what I am doing? I wouldn’t presume they are which has lead me to decide that if I am going to do this then it is going to be about really nice stuff I see around Brighton, Sussex, London – or wherever else I happen to be. I am lucky enough to spend a lot of my time walking around with my jack russell terrier and my iphone. So I have set myself the task of photographing things I see that really jump out at me. By “things” I mainly mean plants as that is what tends to catch my eye but I don’t rule out the prospect of including other things. The sea is a favourite obsession so please excuse the occasional picture of that. Oh – and Harry the dog may make the occasional appearance because he is very cool and quite photogenic… and is sometimes quite helpful at putting things into perspective (I mean scale wise – not philosophically. He is no good at philosophy…) But in general this blog will be about plants – and not so much about plants as about the texture and colours that plants form. Some plant lovers are obsessed with particular blooms, leaf structures, petal formations. For me it is not so much the individual plants and their component parts as the impression they make ‘en masse’ and when walking past in a hurry. I think of plants as building blocks to play with in outside spaces and so the form that they take when thought of as blocks of colour or texture is very important to me. Anyway – enough by way of introduction… Today I shall just upload a picture of Harry helping me put a really big Caemerops humilis in perspective……
