This large modern townhouse required a low maintenance, minimal and modern garden as part of a full interior/exterior refurbishment. Cedar clad fences create a warm backdrop for sleek raised beds planted with box balls and evergreen shrubs. Close to a railway, pleached trees were used as an extra sound barrier as well as neat way to add height to the planting. A low hedge of Choisya divides the light coloured terrace and small ‘sun’ lawn and deck. Fully irrigated and with an artificial grass lawn this garden is as low maintenance as you get while still retaining a verdant feel. The planting is simple but still has year round interest.
